Menhir Qala Folk Group, The Menhir Qala Folk Group, a traditional Maltese dance and song folk group from Qala, Gozo has been invited to participate in an lnternational Folk Festival which is being held in the town of Kralyevo in Serbia next September 2007. The Menhir Qala Folk Group, presently made up of 17 dancers, 1 musicians and a soloist soprano singer, will be going abroad representing Malta for the third time since its formation last September 2003. Barbaric vandalism A number of chapels dating back to the medieval period can be found scattered in the countryside of the Maltese Islands. They are in their majority composed of a nave only and usually have a roof resting on a number of pointed arches. One of these known as Santa Cecilia Chapel is in the limit of Ghajnsielem Gozo. Gozo Motor Show - 2007. The annual Gozo Motor Show was held on June at the Villa Rundle Gardens. As in previous years, its great success was the result of months of preparations and hard work of a group of dedicated people.The main aim of the show was to provide a one-stop opportunity for potential new car buyers to be able to view what is available at the local dealers. Direct bus service from M.I.A. to Cirkewwa. In a press converence held on Monday July 2nd It was announced that as from Monday July 9th a new bus service is going to be held from Malta International Airport to Cirkewwa terminal ferry and vice versa. Read more…
The new seaplane service between Malta and Gozo, Harbour Air, is due to go into service in July. The new service will be operating flights between the Valletta Sea Terminal in Malta and Mgarr harbour here in Gozo. Read more…

Baby's 'miracle' recovery in British hospital to give Malta its first saint By Jonathan Petre, Religion Correspondent, and Simon Caldwell (Daily Telegraph) The testimony of a British surgeon about the "miraculous" recovery of a baby has helped pave the way for the canonisation of Malta's first saint. Anil Dhawan, a professor of paediatric hepatology at King's College Hospital, London, told The Daily Telegraph yesterday that there was no scientific explanation for the recovery of a Maltese boy with "devastating" liver failure. Gozitan artist and painter George Scicluna was born in Victoria Gozo, Malta in 1966. He studied graphic design and then he attended art courses at the Accademia di Belli Arti in Perugia, Italy. George Scicluna has won first prize in various art competitions and he has so far organized five personal exhibitions. Some of his paintings were also exhibited in many collective exhibitions.
